As rioters smashed up shops, looted and fought with police in Camden Town, Philippa Morgan-Walker, 25 and her husband, Jonny Walker, 31, made tea for the police who were protecting their street. Some of the officers had been on duty for more than 30 hours.

So I was asked what the picture had anything to do with the words on it and I answered, “Nothing. Just wanted to make a hipster picture.”

but I lied.

The tree has no leaves. The birds are flying away. The sky is dirty with opaque clouds. The land is desolate. Winter is coming. Summer past. Things change constantly. We used to be happy. But things change and now we’re not anymore. I’m sorry our birds flew away but they flew away for a better home. We didn’t last forever because it’s too difficult to live through the cold winters together anymore. It’s better if we separate. Maybe the electric lines can help someway. Just another footstep of human territory.
